I've only had a crash during early betas. I'm currently using the most recent release (build 3188) with Windows XP on three Macs (two at home [iMac and MacBook Pro] and one at work [MacPro]) without nary a hitch. I can't say why Parallels support isn't responding to your requests; I can suggest their forums, populated by a large number of helpful users. Try forums.parallels.com.

Trash program;even after I purchased the program windows crashes when you least expect (at least 2-3 times per day); it seems that they fixed the black screen issue as I dont get it anymore but this must be the most frustrating program I have ever used. The customer support sucks; they dont reply to emails and they are very rude if you asked them any questions. I guess this is enough trash talking for now about this truly "parallels" program...

[...] An interesting development, tucked away in an article at Fortune magazine about the company behind the Parallels software program, which allows Mac users to run Windows in a virtual machine and switch back and forth (relatively) seamlessly. For all the hiccups and lag that some users have reported, it is still an amazing feat — and I would wager it is making MacIntel boxes more appealing for people who still need to use Windows. No rebooting, no emulation. Two OSes side by side. [...]

Am I missing something in Mista Carruth post?
Everything in Parallels is great, it allowed me to switch to Mac a few months ago and this beta works fine on my MacBook Pro with XP running SQL Server flawlessly.
A company that delivers this well must survive - I suspect someone, Apple or MS , might buy them.

Mista Carruth,

Good question. So good, in fact, that I have to write an article addressing it. Thanks for feeding my brainstem.

Earlier in the year, I and some of my friends experimented in trying to get a 'hacked' OS X up and running on an HP laptop and I found the concept of watching X boot up on something that was so un-Mac disturbing.

But I have to say that some of these screenshots are really freaking me out. Where in the name of all that's holy does OS X end and Windows end?

I may have to go and open a new bottle of rum!
